Since my life is pretty uneventful it looks like this blog is going to turn into a mission update!

So weird to see them doing the traditional "where you going photo"

Their MTC district, my Dad is the District Leader.
Its been really fun to hear their experiences thus far and look forward to when they aren't just roll play experience.

They left for the MTC today! Sad and happy all togther. (2 more goodbyes AAUUUGGHH!!!)
It is now 3:47pm and my Dad just called and they are done for the day. They made my Dad a district leader!

Since my parents are having their Mission farewell on Sunday and leaving Monday, Eric decided to fly in for the festivities but we didn't tell Mom and Dad, do they look surprised???

They are going to Chicago.
My mom will be the mission president's secretary and my dad will be in charge of all the mission vehicles.
They go to the MTC Nov. 28 for 1-2 weeks then off to the windy city!

I went up to Logan this past weekend to stay with Karlee and Kylie and see Jay and Lindsay Bickmore cross the finish line at their first marathon.
It is always an emotional thing but this was really hard to see Lindsay cry you could tell she was happy, excited, accomplished, and in PAIN!!!!
It rained all weekend but we still had a fun time.
Jordan her fiance and Kylee ran with her at the end to give her a little support.

His time is not accurate, he started 16 minutes late.

The plan was for 6 crazy mormon girls to go to "The Westerner", yes it's a country bar. Annie wanted to do Karoke and ride the mechanical bull. It's funny how you are actually flattered when people ID you at an older age. In fact they were scanning our drivers license when we got there and we heard some other guy said "Oh they are old enough".
To Annie's disapointment they only do the mechanical bull on the weekends so we settled for some line dancing and then karoke. We were offered free shots for the night from another fellow karoker, but I don't think he was talking about diet coke shots so we declined. Annie and Merri rocked it with TLC Shoop. Melissa Lynn aka Eminem has some hidden talents! and Melissa Kay was kind enough to pick a song for our "shot" friend to sing, mind you he was a big bald guy with a real low voice. The song she picked was "Like a virgin" she was brave enough to go on stage with him though and she stole the show.

Welcome to Chicago, my little niece Rachel was so kind to give Karlee and I her bedroom since we tend to stay up late talking on the phone or in our sleep (ie Karlee). Thanks to Mandee we had clean sheets that made for some good zzzz's.

My family waited to open presents until we got to Chicago!

After my last trip to AZ where my cousins introduced me to the best store ever I couldn't wait to get to Chicago and do some more shopping!!!! If you happen to have a Charming Charlie by you and you haven't been GO!

Best part of the trip we got to watch Mandee's high school team take 3rd place!

WORST PART OF THE TRIP, they cancelled our flight home and me being dumb and never having that experience before I sat in the airport for about 12 hours trying to get on another flight BAD IDEA! But the next day we were able to get a flight through Vegas cause of it and 15 hours later we were home sweet home!

Southwest had some amazing deals I couldn't pass up so last weekend when it was 30 here I went to AZ where it was 80! It was so realxing and such great company and delicious food. Also some great coaching from Nanette and Tiffany on things I won't mention here. LOL

Now that my Dad is retired (not by choice) and I have four day weekends every other week, we end up spending alot of time doing things. I kind of like it. Today we took my Mom lunch then headed up big cottonwood to walk around Silver Lake and see the leaves changing.

I have an amazing friend who had a baby this week that only lived 5 hours. I attended the funeral today it had the strongest spirit there. She and her husband both spoke and did and awesome job. I am reminded of the strength the gospel can give to us at times of trial. How thankful I am to have a testimony and knowledge of the eternal aspect of families. Thank you Joanie for your amazing testimony and example I love you.

My friend and I went to her cabin to sew, ya that's right I am totally addicted to making rag quilts. Her cabin is by Manti so we went to the temple on our weekend adventure, as well as the cemetery to see a crazy tomb and found a woodchuck living in it.

Then we went to Legally Blonde and had front row center stage tickets "oh my gosh oh my gosh you guys", it could be my new favorite broadway.

Following that we had twentieth row tickets to Michael Buble, I didn't realize how dang sexy he is and he sounds just as good live as he does on his cd's.

Now I have started a new hobby of making material flowers for hair, sweaters, purses. Why do I get addicted to crafts so easily??? I guess it could be worse

Thanks to my amazing sister in law Cheryl, I have become a bit crafty. While she was here over the Holidays I said "I want to learn how to make a rag quilt", of course it was no problem for her to teach me maybe just a little nerveracking shopping with me since it took longer to pick the material than it did to make the darn quilt. So needless to say I am on my third quilt. Then my friend Holly was making a scarf using a loom it was my kind of craft with quick results so I have finished three of those as well......

1- My dad's dream comes true. Even when I was in the womb I can remember my dad talking about wanting a jaguar, ok that is a little bit of a lie but from the day I was born he has talked about it and he finally got it!

2- Work Christmas Party 2009 Texas Roadhouse, I picked this place for 2 reasons, good food and I was told they really embarrass people for their birthday so I thought it would be perfect since we are always off work for my bosses birthday.

I haven't blogged forever, not that I have that much to blog about but I did have a fun trip to AZ for Chantelle and Zack's party/wedding, then a fantastic birthday week this year and a not so bad knee surgery so I thought I would share some pictures.

Boy do the AZ Engars know how to throw a party! The entire thing was amazing.

34th Birthday, I woke up to a surprise in the bathroom, lesson to self turn on light when you go to the bathroom early in the morning!

Went to the DoDo for dinner with Holly, Liz, Paige, Birk, Jeremy. Preston. Then we went to Desert Star Playhouse to see "Snooty and the Beast". Good times!

Then Oct. 15th I had a lateral release, in non Dr. terms I had the ligament in my leg cut to release my knee cap that was severely tilted.

My friends sister in law rented an entire theater for the 11:59 show on Thursday night. I came home from work and took a two hour nap to gear up for this event. We went to Red Robin first and when we walked in I thought I was at Women's Conference. Then it got worse. Prom dresses???? I am glad my friends weren't that crazy. I saw these two older ladies who appeared to be wearing their daughters dresses because they couldn't zip them up in the back so they had a shade shirt on underneath. WT
I wasn't a huge Edward fan but he did grow on me and I have to admit I liked the movie better the second go round....

I have been blessed with such an awesome family. My cousin's son just went in the MTC to serve a 2 year mission. He was my budd, I use to babysit them when their parents would go out of town and I would pick on him, unfortunately he out grew me and loved to pick on me now! I am going to miss him so much but I am so excited for him he will come back a better man. (If that's possible, he is pretty amazing)

Me, my Sister in-law and my two neices went to Borders at midnight to get the book Breaking Dawn. Since I was awake and we were going I decided to ask people if they wanted one. I ended up buying 5....

We were assigned a number then had to wait upstairs until it was called, then we could get in the line. When we got there they were on the 200's and we were 408 & 409.

There was a huge wall that you could sign or write comments, Karlee went to town.

Took a snooze on the book shelf.

But in the end I got the book!

As we were sitting at the table enjoying them my nephew Cooper felt a little left out so we decided to hand him our bones. Then we finished his meal off with a popsicle. I had so much fun at this movie. Kris, Maria, Holly and I went and we were dancing and singing throughout the entire movie! (If you beleive that then you obviously don't know me very well.)
Then the night went down hill from there, we went out to my car and it wouldn't start. Luckily my parents were at the same movie so I called them and we tried jumping it and it wouldn't work. We took my friends back to their car at Chilli's went and talked to the info desk at Jordan Commons to make sure they wouldn't tow it and we left it for the night. Today we got up went and jumped it and it actually started BUT the check engine light was on so I took it to the Nissan dealership and it costs 105.00 just to look at it! I HATE THIS CAR, I am now accepting donations for my Acura fund......

Last night we had another ward activity up the canyon doing tinfoil dinners! It was such an enjoyable night some of us didn't want it to end so we met at my house and went to Sonic to get something to wet our pallet, then we lounged at my house watching TV and chatting. Around 11:30 people decided they were tired and were leaving. Let me preface this story with some information, our front door stays locked but you can still turn the door handle from the inside. Secondly our swamp cooler is so powerful that is sucks the front door closed as soon as you let go of it. So the kind person that I am walks my company out when they are leaving all I remember is the sound of a slamming door and a prayer in my heart saying please don't be locked. Yep it was. So here I am at 11:30 at night my roommate works grave yards and wasn't able to answer her phone so I got this great idea to find a latter and go climbing. I won't give details because I don't want any visitors but lets just say I even amazed my self!

For those of you that don't know the story my mom had severe reactions to anesthesia last time she went under the knife so we were all a little bit nervous this time but she pulled through with no problems and came home to some beautiful flowers from her granddaughters ( no wonder they are spoiled). Thanks for all the prayers and phone calls on her behalf, I am glad it is over.

Friday night Annie and I celebrated at our usual spot Chilis then Paige met up with us for a good old chick flick.
Sat after watching conference with Ty, Melinda and Andrew the boys went to Priesthood and the girls went shopping!!!!!!! My first experience at Gardner Village Witches night out. Wrong weekend to do it, I think every mormon lady was there. Then we hit every other store and a lovely Italian dinner and ended the night with some laughs watching wild hogs.
Today more conf. then yummy dinner and cake, gosh I feel old. Whatever I am still 21 at heart.
